Global warming means a steady increase in the temperature of earth. Although, the temperature of earth has never been steady constant but the gradual increase begun in the 20^th century. The rapid increase in global temperature causes melting of polar icecaps. This can also result in to drastic flooding and powerful hurricanes. Some studies show that in last 30 years approx. 400,000 square miles of arctic ice has melted. The global warming causes climates in the world to change.

Although, there are many causes of it but human causes of global warming are the most important. No doubt, human activities are largely responsible of global warming. Global warming is the problem, which we all have to face. This means we all need to be educated on the issue of human causes of global warming. Only, in this way, we can stop global warming. It is alarming that our activities have such an impact on climate change. Because of our actions, our children born today have to suffer tomorrow.

Greenhouse gases when release and start trapping heat in the atmosphere, the temperature rises. Greenhouse gases include chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's), methane, carbon dioxide (CO2)

and nitrous oxide. These gases allow the light emitted form sun to enter the atmosphere. But they lock some infrared radiations that warm the air present in atmosphere. The effect is called greenhouse effect. The natural amount of these gases is beneficial for us as it helps us to have clean water, breathe clean air and have normal weather. However, when the amount of these gases increase it increases the earth's average temperature too.

Human causes of global warming include many and one of them is deforestation. During mass cutting, many trees are burned which causes the release of large amount of carbon dioxide in atmosphere. Trees are responsible of recycling the carbon dioxide into oxygen too. As many trees are lost, less carbon dioxide is recycled.

Another human cause is power plants that gain electricity through fossil fuel i.e. coal plants. When the fossil fuel is burned for gaining energy, carbon dioxide is released. Transports that use fuel to operate are also included in human causes of global warming. Bi-product produced due to burning of oil in the engine is also carbon dioxide. The leading factor of global warming is carbon dioxide.

With the increase in human population, the demand of food also increases. To meet the rising demand, artificial fertilizers are used. One of the greenhouse gases, nitrous oxide is released from fertilizers. Chemicals use to raise the domestic animals also have methane and nitrous oxide in them. These events when take place independently does not seem to cause global warming. However, when they are used in array of men activities, it causes serious problems like global warming
